Why Health Education Lives in My Heart

Part of showing up for myself is also answering the calling that has been placed on my life.

My heart has been pulled toward educating others about their health. Not just telling people what to eat or how to exercise, but helping them understand why their body matters.

Too many people are struggling silently with preventable diseases, fatigue, stress, and poor nutrition simply because no one ever took the time to teach them. Many communities have normalized poor health because the knowledge has never been shared in a way that is practical, compassionate, and empowering.

For me, health education is not just a profession.

It is a responsibility.

When I study nutrition, when I teach others how to eat better, when I help someone begin their journey toward wellness, I see it as an act of service. I see it as a way of honoring the body that God gave us.

The scripture that continues to guide this part of my journey is:

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”

— 3 John 1:2

This verse reminds me that God’s desire for us is wholeness.

Not just spiritual growth.

Not just financial stability.

But a life where our soul, body, and purpose are all aligned.

That is why I pursue knowledge.

That is why I discipline my body.

That is why I educate others.

Because when people understand how to care for their health, they gain the strength, clarity, and energy needed to walk in their purpose.

And if I can play even a small role in helping someone reclaim their health, then I know I am walking in the direction God intended for me.

An Encouraging Word for You

If you’ve ever felt drained from giving too much of yourself to others, know that you are not alone.

Many of us were taught to show up for everyone else first. To be dependable. To be supportive. To sacrifice our time, energy, and sometimes even our health for the sake of others.

But there comes a moment when God begins to whisper something different to your heart.

He reminds you that your life matters too.

Showing up for yourself is not selfish.

It is stewardship.

When you take care of your body, you honor the vessel God gave you.

When you pursue knowledge, you strengthen the mind He blessed you with.

When you grow spiritually, you align your life with His purpose.

You may stumble along the way.

You may have days where your discipline feels weak.

You may feel alone at times when the path becomes clearer and fewer people walk it with you.

But keep going.

Every healthy choice you make is a step toward the life you deserve.

Every lesson you learn is building wisdom within you.

Every time you choose growth over comfort, you are becoming the person God designed you to be.

Your journey may not look like everyone else’s, and that’s okay.

Stay faithful to your process.

Stay committed to your growth.

Stay open to the people who will meet you along the path that God is guiding you toward.

Your heart still beats with purpose.

And as long as it does, there is still more life to build, more wisdom to gain, and more people who will one day be blessed because you chose to keep showing up.

Keep growing. Keep learning. Keep showing up.
